Journey is my Bagger daughter and she certainly has his exuberance in the show ring.  She finished her championship in spite of her ring antics!!  She has a delightful temperament, lovely front and topline, and moves like a dream. 

Great News!!  In October of 2007 Journey and I attended the Irish Setter Club National Hunt Test & Field Trial.  I had no idea what I was doing however Journey certainly knew what she was doing!!  She pointed the birds and scored a perfect score!!  She qualified for her first leg of her Junior Hunter Title -- it was so exciting.  Journey and I plan to attend some more hunt tests to hopefully get her JH title.  Scroll down to see some pictures of our first hunt test experience.

1/23/08 - Journey went for a field evaluation by trainer Ben Garcia of Hideaway Kennels.  We had a blast!!  She so enjoyed the run and got an introduction to pigeons.  We plan on sending her to Ben for further training.   I so appreciated Ben's guidance and expertise and it is truly amazing to watch these dogs in the field! 

2/5/08 - Journey went to stay with Ben for some extensive field training.  She is at hunting "boot camp".  I think it is harder on me than on her!!  I know Ben will do a great job with her!  Stay tuned for news of her new "journey" (pun intended!).

5/7/08 - Journey is home for the summer!!  We are so glad to have her back - her and Blaise have become fast buddies and play all day.  Journey is doing well in her field training - she will go back in August and hopefully start field trialing in the fall.  We are so pleased that she is showing potential in the field arena and can't wait to go watch her run.  She sure has a new intensity with regards to birds than she did before she went with Ben!

8/25/08 - Journey goes back to hunt training (or boot camp as we like to call it lol).  She is having to readjust to working in the field again and she just loves it.  I know she misses sleeping on the couch with me but our hope is that she will begin field trialing this fall.  We can't wait to see what her potential is....

9/17/08 - We found out today that Journey is going to run in a hunt test with Ben on October 18th.  I can't wait to see her.....

10/18 & 19/08 - Ben ran Journey in a Hunt Test and she got 2 more legs toward her JH title!!  Ginny and I are going to run her at the National Irish Setter Hunt Test next month - wish us luck as we truly have no idea of what we are doing!! lol  Scroll down to see some recent pictures of Journey training with Ben.

5/3/09 - Journey gets her 4th pass and now has her Junior Hunter title!  It took us so long because all of the hunt tests were cancelled this spring due to snow!!  She is ready to run in Senior Hunter but will come home for a break for the summer. 

8/09 - Journey has been bred to AFC DC Pompei's Look Who's Here, SH, RA or better known as "Marx" - puppies due October 11th.  Click on "Current Irish Setter Litter" for more information about this litter and Journey.
