Baxter is the pick male out of our Souvie/Dally litter.  He is a beautiful mover and has a lovely headpiece, bone, and topline.  Baxter has a delightful temperament and knows no strangers.  Since he lives with Irish Setters, he loves big dogs and thinks he is one of them.  His favorite pastime is playing non-stop with any dog that will cooperate.  He even loves to run in the snow with the "big dogs".

February 2008 - Baxter goes Winner's Dog all 3 days at the St. Joseph, Missouri show.  He was Best of Winners the second day.  Baxter now has 5 points.   His litter sister "Sasha" (Ch. Kaycees Galewinns Pucker UP MLD) finished her championship at the same show! Sasha is co-owned by Sherry Ceplius and myself. Congrats Sherry on a job well done!!

2/18/08 - Baxter wins his first major at the Denver Dog show.  He showed soooo well and we had a blast.  He now has 8 points with one major.  His litter sister "Revvie" (Kaycees Galewinns All Revved Up MLD) finished her championship also.  Congrats Terrilynn & John Carlson on their first dachshund champion!!!

2/29/08 - Baxter wins his second major in Scottsdale, Arizona.  He went WD & BOW for 4 points.  He now has 12 points with both majors!!

NEWS FLASH - Baxter finishes his championship!!  On 3/1/08, Baxter went WD & BOW for a 4 point major in Scottsdale, Arizona.  This is his third major!!!  He is now an AKC champion and we are thrilled.  He also made the cut for the breed!!

Baxter finished his championship with all of his points out of the "Bred-by" class so he qualified for the Eukanuba Classic in December 2008 in Long Beach, CA.  His sister, Sasha, will be there as well.  He hasn't been in the ring since March - we better get workin'! lol

3/10 - Baxter has started his new career!!  He is now showing in Juniors with Shea Jonsrud.  Shea wanted to try a small dog to increase her handling experience so Baxter got to be "IT" this weekend.  He loved the attention and being back in the ring.  Scroll down to see some wonderful pictures of him.  More pictures will be posted to Shea's page with her and Baxter - they were a great team!!

Baxter was bred and is co-owned by myself and Sherry Ceplius of Kaycees Miniature Dachshunds.

Went hunt training with the irish setters. At the end of training I let the dachshunds and the irish run together - they had a blast!!! To funny seeing the dachshunds in the field!
