Baron is the newest addition to our dachshund family. He is pictured above at 16 weeks.  He is one of the 5 cowboys out of Boot's most recent litter.  He has a gorgeous head, pretty front, and stunning rear.  We are going to have a lot of fun with this little guy.  Stay tuned....

April 9, 2010 - Baron goes to his first show.  We didn't show him as he is too young but he got to go for the socialization and experience.  He was sooo good -  he loved all of the attention and we got in some good training.  Scroll down for some pictures.

May 30 & 31st, 2010 - Baron goes to his first show in Laramie, Wyoming.  He went BOW both days for 1 point each day.  He handled the show beautifully and was so good.  I was thoroughly pleased with the weekend!

June 4th, 2010 - Baron goes BOW for another point at the Longmont, CO show.  He only showed the one day so we were pleased.

July 2 & 3rd, 2010 - Baron goes BOW for another point each day - he now has 4 points.  He also took at Puppy Group 3 at the hound specialty.  Scroll down for pictures of Baron with his "prize".  He is starting to show "attitude" and is really coming along. 

July 17th & 18th - Baron goes BOB both days for 2 more points.  There were no specials entered but we were still very pleased with his wins.  He got to be in the group ring both days so we got a ton of practice and ring time in.  I sure am enjoying watching him blossom in to quite a little show dog.  Scroll down for some moving pictures of him - they aren't the best pictures as they are a little blurry but you can certainly see his movement in them.

Sept 4th  - Baron goes Best of Breed over 4 specials today!!  He showed really well - he is getting what he is suppose to do in the ring now.

Sept 5th - Baron goes BOW for another point - he has 8 points now and we will be looking for majors.  Getting him ready to go do the Dachshund National in 3 weeks....

Sept 28th, 2010 - Baron wins his first major at the Araphahoe Kennel Club!!  We are thrilled.

Sept 29, 2010 - Baron wins another point and goes BOW.  He now has 12 points with one major (and he is only 10 months old!).

Oct. 1, 2010 - Baron goes Reserve Winners Dog at the Dachshund National!!!  What a nice win for him considering the competition and almost all standards won.

Jan. 29th, 2011 - Baron goes Best In Match!!  His first time out since the national.  We took him for practice and he did amazing!! 

Feb. 2011 - Baron takes 2 points at the Denver show.  Bummer because he only needs a major and it broke....

June 4, 2011 - Baron takes a major to finish his championship!!! 

November 2011 - Baron completes his Grand Championship and has won some very nice Best Of Breed wins.  I am sure having fun showing him as a special.



Baron was bred and is co-owned by myself and Sherry Ceplius of Kaycees Minature Dachshunds.

Baron's sire CH. Old Hanover's Mr. Lincoln ML won Best of Opposite at the Dachshund Club of America national!!! We are so very proud of him!! Baron says "Go Dad"!! Congrats to Karyn & Jeff Dione, Lincoln's owners!  May 2011
